PROTECTION Monitor

Duty Station: AL-Jawf Contract

Duration: 8 Months

Reports To: Project Manager

Position Summary

The Protection Officer supports implementation of protection monitoring, case management, legal assistance, and cash-for-protection activities.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management

  • Conduct household-level vulnerability assessments.
  • Identify high-risk cases.
  • Open and manage case files.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all records.
  • Conduct follow-up visits.
  • Close cases according to SOP.

Legal Assistance

  • Support beneficiaries in obtaining civil documentation.
  • Coordinate with Civil Registration Authority.
  • Track completion of documentation cases.

Cash for Protection

  • Verify eligibility.
  • Support distribution monitoring.
  • Conduct post-assistance follow-up.

Protection Monitoring

  • Document protection risks.
  • Submit weekly protection trend reports.
  • Support referral to service providers.

Community-Based Protection

  • Support establishment of CBPNs.
  • Conduct awareness sessions.
  • Engage community leaders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Law, Human Rights, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years protection experience.
  • Experience in conflict-affected areas.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Arabic fluency required; English preferred.
